World Wetlands Day cleanup at Powell’s Cove Park: NEW DATE!

THIS EVENT will now be in the spring! Join us on MARCH 22 from 10 am – Noon!

Join us in celebration of the first weekend of spring — and a belated World Wetlands Day — to clean the coast of the magnificent Powell’s Cove Park in College Point!

Powell’s Cove, an environmental waterfront park completed in 1999, has 17 acres are submerged marshland; only 7 acres of the park are on land.

We’ll be working at low tide for maximum effectiveness, and there is a LOT of trash-covered coastline that needs our help. Community Service credit available for students.
