DESCRIPTION:Save the date for our annual Free Kayaking at MacNeil Park in College Point!\nSaturday June 6 (raindate: June 7).\nOrganized by Coastal Preservation Network and LIC Community Boathouse; cosponsored by A Better College Point Civic Association.\nFree public kayaking from 1-4 pm!!!\nAlso:\n-Billion Oyster Project will be on hand to explain oyster restoration plans for Powell’s Cove Park\, and citywide!\n-The NYC Parks’ abandoned vessel removal team will be on hand to explain the 2026 boat-and-large-debris-removal plans for the College Point coast! \nVolunteers needed for “boat crew”:\nunloading kayaks from trailer at Noon\nloading them back onto the trailer at 4 pm\nhelping folks in and out of kayaks\nsafety patrol on-water from 1-4 pm\ncheck-in and registration tables\nlifejacket and paddle distribution. \nCommunity service credit available!
